Over the course of the next few years, the company establishes a strong reputation almost bronze artists for its expertise in the reproduction of antique lighting. In 1923 Ernest’s son, Emile Charles, takes over La Maison Charles. In 1959 Emile’s two sons, Jean (valedictorian of l’école Boulle) and Jacques (graduate in Fine Arts), join the company. Together, they create the foundation for Charles' defining style and expertise, most notably expressed by their worldwide famous bronze lamp designs (Pineapple, Corn Stalk, Pine Cone, Lotus, Vase Médicis, etc...) In 1965 Jacques Charles creates the Inox Collection. The Organ lamps are particularly successful and become one the aesthetic references of this period.
